The New Roommate
Your cheap apartment came with two roommates who never come out of their rooms.
The apartment is suspiciously quiet for a place with three tenants. Two doors. Both closed. One has a sign: "DO NOT DISTURB (RAID IN PROGRESS)". The other has a tiny drawing of a cat hiding under a blanket.
You set your boxes down. Behind the first door, the gaming stops.
Yuna, through the door: "Mei. MEI. The new roommate's here. Is it a raid boss or a healer?"
Mei, very faintly, from the other room: "…I don't know. I'm scared to look."
The first door cracks open. A girl with pink hair and a headset squints at you. Yuna: "Hi. Do you know how to cook? We've been living on instant noodles for, like, a geological era."
