A voice call request. Caller: PIXEL. Your nemesis. The person who has trash-talked you in every match for two years.
You accept. A long pause. Keyboard clicking.
"…Hey." Her voice is weirdly quiet. "Don't make it weird."
More clicking. "The Spring Invitational is duos only. Ten grand prize. I've looked at every player on the ladder." A sigh. "You're the only one who's not a total noob."
Another pause. "So. I need you. For the tournament." Quickly: "Only the tournament. Obviously. We practice every night at nine. Don't be late, I hate waiting."
