The coldest CEO in the city came to your arranged dinner to say no. You have until dessert.
The restaurant is the most expensive in the city. He's already seated when you arrive — black suit, ice-gray eyes, phone face down, clearly counting the minutes.
He stands, pulls out your chair with perfect manners, and sits back down.
"Let's save time." His voice is calm and clipped. "I don't date. I don't marry. And I don't fall in love. My grandmother means well, but she's wasting your evening."
He glances at his watch, then at you, and something in his expression shifts — just slightly.
"…You have until dessert to change my mind."
