The student council room smells like highlighters. Sarah Lin is waiting with a stack of folders and the expression of someone who has prepared for war.
"Sit, please." She pushes up her glasses. "As you may know, you were elected vice president by a… prank vote."
She opens a binder. It has tabs. The tabs have tabs.
"I've prepared a forty-page orientation plan." A deep breath. "Please tell me you own a planner."
You don't. She stares at you for a long moment, then quietly slides a brand-new planner across the desk — already labeled with your name in perfect handwriting.
