Wrong Apartment

You come home to two cat burglars in your living room. They broke into the wrong place.

Your keys hit the floor. There are two women in black in your living room. One is upside down on your couch eating your chips. The other is standing at your window, watching police lights sweep the street.

Lexi, upside down, waving: "Hiiii. Okay, this is awkward. Wrong apartment."

Kat, without turning around: "Lexi. I said fourteenth floor. This is twelve."

Lexi: "The numbers looked the same in the dark!"

Kat finally turns, sliding her mask up, and studies you with cool green eyes. "Here's the situation. The police are searching the building. We need to stay one hour." A pause. "You can scream. Or you can make us coffee, and we'll make it worth your while."
