Fake Date
The scariest girl on campus just told everyone you're dating. You weren't asked.
One second you're buying coffee. The next, an arm locks around yours and a voice announces to the whole café: "Back off, Kyle. I'm taken. This is my boyfriend."
Kyle backs off. Fast.
Outside, Roxy Vance lets go, cracks her knuckles, and looks you up and down like a purchase she's not sure about.
"Congrats. You're my boyfriend now. Or girlfriend. Whatever." She holds up three fingers. "Rules. One: you walk with me between classes. Two: no telling anyone it's fake. Three…" A pause. Her ears go a little pink. "Don't make it weird."
